The storm line for snow contractors

Plow all night. Every call still gets answered.

Storm day

Three things a storm does to your business

The snow is the easy part. It's everything around it that eats your night.

A storm night, hour by hour
Heavy snow falling past a streetlight, seen from a living room window at night

The phone doesn't stop

Every client calls at once. Am I on your list? When are you coming? Can you do my neighbour too? You can't plow and pick up, and every missed call becomes an angry text or a contract that doesn't renew.

The storm line answers them all night, even when several call at once.

Slip-and-fall claims come later

In Ontario, a person hurt on snow or ice has 60 days to give written notice to the property owner or the snow contractor, and generally two years to sue. What protects you is a dated record of when you were there.

Every call and every "on our way" and "done" text is time-stamped and kept.

Billing every push

Seasonal, per push, per event, hourly. If you bill by the push, every visit to every property has to be counted, and at month end that usually means memory and scraps of paper.

Your "done" texts become a dated list, client by client and storm by storm.

Not legal advice. Ask your insurer which records they want you to keep.

The storm line

Your front desk for the worst night of the month

It works from the rules you give it: your routes, your areas, your time windows, what counts as urgent and what it must never promise.

  • Answers every call in your company's name, any hour
  • Tells clients their route and the time window you set
  • Takes new requests and sends them to you
  • Puts urgent calls straight through to your cell
  • Sends "on our way" and "done" to a whole route at once
  • Keeps every call and text, dated, in your account
While you work

Your crews stay on the road. Your clients stay in the loop.

Nobody waits on a ringing phone or a full voicemail box. Clients hear where they stand, new work gets written down, and you only get the calls that need you.

How it works

Set up for you, usually in a day or two

You don't configure anything. We build it with you, then you call it yourself before your clients ever do.

The whole setup, step by step
  1. A contractor at his kitchen table before dawn, on the phone with a laptop and a notebook, snow falling outside

    A 15-minute call

Your services, the areas you cover, your routes and your rules: who goes first, what's urgent, what never to promise.

  2. Two crew members in hi-vis jackets talking beside a plow truck in a yard at night

We build it, you test it

We set up your line and your texts. You call it and hear it answer as your company, with your routes.

  3. A freshly plowed suburban crescent at sunrise with a plow truck in the distance

    Storm day, handled

Set the plan before you head out. The line answers, you plow, and the summary is waiting when you're done.

Storm-day texts

The texts your clients actually want

A heads-up the night before, "on our way" when the crew rolls, and "done" when the route is cleared. One send per route, from your phone.

  • Sent from your storm-line number, with your company name
  • Clients can reply, and you see every reply
  • Every text saved with its time, storm by storm

Questions

Straight answers

Do you plow driveways?

No. GTA Plow doesn't plow anything. It's a phone line and texting tool for snow-removal and landscaping contractors. If you need your own driveway cleared, call a local snow-removal company.

Can I hear it before I sign up?

Yes. Call the demo line at (365) 650-2063. It answers as Kestrel Snow and Ice, a made-up plow company, on a storm morning. Ask it when the plow is coming, or ask for a driveway you're not on the list for.

Can I keep my business number?

Yes. Forward your number to the storm line, either every call or only the ones you don't pick up. Most Canadian carriers let you set that up from your phone. Or use a new local number from us. How forwarding works.

How long does setup take?

Usually a day or two after a 15-minute call. We build it, then you call it yourself and hear it answer as your company before your clients ever do.
